Jicama - Yam Bean

Yam Bean, or sometimes better known as jicama, is a staple in Latin American cuisine. Yam bean has a sweet juicy apple like flavor and starchy taste. Manufacturers use yam bean purees and IQF yam bean as ingredients in soups, salads, salsa, fruit bars, stews, prepared foods, and stir fries.

IQF yam bean is ideal for Latin and Asian style salads and salsas. IQF yam bean also mixes well with other fruits and vegetables in smoothies for great taste and texture. IQF yam bean can be sautéed or roasted for use as an ingredient in other prepared foods too.
