Serrano Pepper

Serrano peppers are some of the most common peppers found in authentic Mexican and Southwestern dishes. Organic serrano peppers are perfect for 100% natural salsas and prepared foods.

When all natural food and beverage manufacturers want to add a bit more zing than the jalapeno pepper, IQF serrano peppers or organic serrano pepper puree might just be the answer. Serrano peppers have a clean, bright flavor with a nice heat intensity without the scoring heat of an habanero pepper. They are considered medium heat chili peppers, around 10,000 to 25,000 on the Scoville scale.

Serrano peppers are also known as 'chile verde' throughout the southwest and Mexico. Fire-roasting organic serrano peppers will enhance its natural flavor and bring out some of its sweetness.
